Spring 2016 ThoughtExchange

Thank you for sharing your ideas about possible school changes. We heard ideas from nearly 1,000 citizens in Highline.

In May 2016, families, community members, and staff were invited to answer questions about possible school changes being considered by Highline. During the first phase of this process, we received nearly 3,300 thoughts by nearly 1,500 people.

In the second phase, community members were invited to view the submissions and prioritize ideas by placing a star on items you agree with or value most.

Visit our online interactive report to learn about the top priorities that emerged about possible school changes and high school improvements.

Some of the top priorities that emerged from the online dialog include:
  • The opportunity for high school students to take more classes and earn more credits in four years.
  • A variety of programs and courses to fit different learning needs.
  • A preference to keep early release on Fridays.
