Welcome to the Chinook Middle School Library where the mission is to ensure that all students are effective users and producers of ideas and information.
Visiting the Library:
Students are welcome any time before school, after school, or during lunch without a library pass. During class time, students need a pass from their teacher (the student planner is great!). It is our expectation that students will follow the rules for the library or will be returned to class.
Checking out Books:
Students may borrow up to four items (e.g. four books, or three books and one magazine) at a time. We do not charge fines for overdue books;* however, if a student has an overdue item, he or she may not check out any more books until the items are returned or paid for. Items that are returned damagaed will incur fines. Students may not check out books until all fines are paid. Report cards will be held if a student has overdue books or outstanding fines.
