​​Highline Public Schools Athletics Department will host several summer camps to provide fundamental sports skills instruction to the youth of our community. Camp opportunities for a number of sports will take place throughout the summer at a variety of locations.

Highline Public Schools Athletics Department will host several summer camps to provide fundamental sports skills instruction to the youth of our community.

Camp opportunities for the following sports will take place throughout the summer at a variety of locations: Basketball, Cheer, Cross Country, Dance/Drill, Football, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball and Wrestling.

Campers will receive skills instruction and mentoring from district coaches and high school players. A “Summer Camps” t-shirt will be awarded to each camper upon completion of the camp.

​​Teacher Lyn Nelthropp was surprised in her classroom as a recipient of the 2012 Symetra Hero In The Classroom award. The award is given annually to 24 teachers in the Puget Sound region and is co-sponsored by the Seattle Seahawks.

​Teacher Lyn Nelthropp was surprised in her classroom as a recipient of the 2012 Symetra Hero In The Classroom award. The award is given annually to 24 teachers in the Puget Sound region and is co-sponsored by the Seattle Seahawks.

Lyn was nominated for the award by a former student. She received a check for $1000 to the school to be used as she wishes, $350 gift card to Office Max, and maybe most exciting is 2 tickets to the Seahawks vs. Rams game on December 30th At the game Lyn will be on the sidelines during pregame warm-ups, will be given an official 12th man Seahawks jersey with her name on it, and will have her picture taken and projected on the big screen.
