Retiree Health Insurance
Per RCW 41.05.011, all district employees are eligible for Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB) retiree medical insurance coverage. PEBB has developed a Checklist to help you successfully apply and receive this valuable benefit. There are strict requirements in the application process including that employees must apply within 60 days of loss of employer or COBRA insurance. Important Open Enrollment Dates for Benefits
Open Enrollment: August 26, 2013 through September 30, 2013.
(Better to apply sooner than later to receive your new insurance cards in a
timely manner during this peak season.)
Coverage for all open enrollment changes will be effective November 1, 2013.
· Insurance applications (Regence Blue Shield, Group Health Cooperative, United Concordia Dental and optional insurance plans) are to be turned into the Human Resources.
· All changes to the WEA Select Premera Blue Cross medical plans or WEA Select Willamette Dental plan must be requested online only. Visit Your Benefit Resources (YBR): http://resources.hewitt.com/wea.
