	Kindergarten registration for 2012-2013 School Year	more less
	Registration is now open for kindergarten classes for the 2012/2013 school year. Kindergarten Enrollment Registration is now open for kindergarten classes for the 2012/2013 school year. If your child will be five years old on or before August 31, he or she is eligible to register now. To register your child, please come to Midway during regular school hours. If you have any questions please call our school office at 206-631-4400 When you come to enroll your student, please bring the following with you: Your child’s birth certificate. Proof of your address. (This can be a rental agreement, purchase agreement, or utility bill.) Your child’s immunization records. Two emergency contacts, including addresses and phone numbers.

Please join us for our next Midway Mustang Morning Thursday, June 7^th, 2012 9:00-10:30am Midway Elementary School Library Come and learn about our district’s dual language program! You will have an opportunity to share your input and learn information about expanding dual language programming to more students! Coffee and pastries will be available for families. Take a few minutes to tell your child’s school and the school district how we’re doing. The annual Parent Survey is here. . Presione aquí para participar en la encuesta de padres en Español. Also, Highline Public Schools is considering expansion of its elementary language programs, including Dual Language. This short survey in English and in Spanish will help staff understand the community’s interest on this topic. Each spring, we ask parents and students to give us their feedback. We use the survey results to learn what we are doing well and where we need to improve. Several of the survey questions are tracked in our System Wide Measures of Success, the accountability metrics we publish in our annual report to the community. (You’ll get one in your mailbox in the fall.) All of the questions give us valuable information we can use to serve our students and families better. The survey asks about a range of topics, from the school climate to academics to finances and facilities. You will receive an automated phone call reminding you to take the survey online. Your voice is very important to us. We’re waiting to hear what you have to say!

Celebrites Come to Midway Fitness Night	more less
A Seahawk, a Husky, and a performer from Teatro Zinzanni entertained families at Midway Elementary's Family Fitness Night. A Seahawk, a Husky, and a performer from Teatro Zinzanni entertained families at Midway Elementary's Family Fitness Night. Seahawk Josh Portis signs an autograph. Seahawk quarterback Josh Portis was greeted with enthusiastic cheers when he entered Midway's gym. He urged students to work hard in school and stay fit. Harry Husky greets a student. Harry Husky was also on hand to sign autographs and pose for pictures. And Teatro Zinzanni sent a world-class juggler to amaze the crowd. Juggler from Teatro Zinzanni. But the main attraction at the event was the plethora of fitness stations where kids and parents could jump rope, play a game, learn a zumba routine, or get a mini-massage. What a way to combine fun and fitness! A station displays homemade fitness gear.
