The goal of Nutrition Services is to provide high quality, nutritious, cost-effective meals to all students in Highline Public Schools.

Highline Nutrition Services serves approximately 4,000 breakfasts and 11,000 lunches each school day to Highline students. Over sixty percent of the enrolled student body qualify for free or reduced price meals.
Research has shown that there is a crucial relationship between nutrition and academic
performance as well as better nutrition and health.
- Highline participates in the USDA’s National School Lunch, School Breakfast, After School Snacks, Summer Food Service and USDA Food Distribution Programs. USDA regulations guide our programs.
- Monthly menus are planned by a Registered Dietitian to meet the USDA specifications based on the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
