January 2017 Parent letter

The following is a letter sent home to parents in January from our school administrator, Frank Cantwell. Here is a printable version of the letter.

Dear Parents:

I would like to wish everyone a happy New Year! I would also like to thank everyone for the gifts that I received before Christmas. It was very thoughtful and kind. I would also like to thank those parents who brought treats for the “Winter Break” party. The party turned out great and we couldn’t have had the party without the treats.

There are only 16 school days before the end of the first semester. The next few weeks will be the last opportunity for students to achieve the grades that they are striving for. Please encourage your students to try as hard as possible.

Thursday, January 12th, 2017 at 6:30 pm, we will be having a CHOICE Steering Committee meeting. Everyone is invited to attend. We will discuss any issue that a parent, student or staff member has and would like to talk about.

The following Thursday, January 19th at 6:30 pm, we will be having our Open House. This is an opportunity for us to show potential CHOICE families how wonderful CHOICE is. Please tell all your friends about us, and to ask them to come to our Open House.

For the first semester, students who have off-site electives will make their presentations on their electives on Wednesday, January 18th beginning at 8:05 am. Parents are encouraged to attend. There will be no school on January 16th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Finals will begin on Friday, January 20th.

Hope to see everyone at the Steering Committee meeting.

Warm Regards,

Frank Cantwell
