Construction on the new Pacific Middle School remains on schedule and on budget. Site work continues with installation of the stormwater detention system, an underground system that manages rainwater on site.

Highline's technology levy would resume local funding for the technology students, staff and schools use every day. Because state funding does not fully cover school technology costs, the levy will fund basic internet, cybersecurity, infrastructure, staff professional development, devices and technical support systems.   

The Highline Schools Foundations is hosting their 2026 Burien Brat Trot, a community fun run for all ages. The route runs along 152nd through downtown Burien and surrounding neighborhood streets and ends with an all-ages block party.

Highline families are invited to attend one of four Waskowitz Outdoor School Family Information Nights this September.  These evenings are for families who want to learn more about the 5th Grade Outdoor School experience and High School Leadership Program.

The school construction bond would fund neighborhood school improvements and districtwide safety and health upgrades. The bond would fund projects to replace aging schools, improve safety and accessibility, address health-related building needs and update learning environments for students and staff.
