  • The Nutrition Services department  The Nutrition Services department is a large team of more than 125 high-energy men and women on a mission to feed students nutritious meals at school. Join our team today! The following positions are available:
     
    Cashier Substitute (all cashiers must begin as a sub)
    Cashier substitutes are trained in our computer system which is very similar to many fast food restaurants. Substitutes are called at 6:30 AM if they are needed for work and may be assigned to elementary, middle or high schools. Substitutes may decline to work any days they wish. This is a great opportunity for parents who want to work a few hours while their child is at school. CLICK HERE TO APPLY
     
    Cashier
    After starting as a substitute, you may choose to apply for a permanent cashier position if there is an opening. These positions are usually 2-4 hours per day Monday-Friday. Permanent cashiers work every school day at the same location. 
      
    Kitchen Helper Substitute (all cooks and helpers must begin as a sub)
    Kitchen helpers assist the kitchen lead preparing, cooking and serving food, as well as cleaning up after lunch. Substitutes are called at 6:30 AM if they are needed for work and may be assigned to elementary, middle or high schools. Substitutes may decline to work any days they wish. Helpers generally begin after breakfast and leave before the school days ends, so the hours are perfect for a parent that wants to work while their child is at school. Helper substitutes are required to pay $125 to take a Work Steps physical lifting test, but that money is reimbursed to the employee after 30 days of work. CLICK HERE TO APPLY
     
    Kitchen Helper 
    After starting as a substitute, you may choose to apply for a permanent position if there is an opening. These positions are usually between 2 and 6 hours per day Monday-Friday. Permanent kitchen helpers work every school day at the same location. 
     
    Kitchen Lead
    After working as a permanent helper for a minimum of one year, you may be eligible to apply to be a kitchen lead. Kitchen leads work longer hours and have more responsibility than a helper. *You must begin as a substitute and work as a helper before applying to be a kitchen lead*.
