April 5, 2017
Dear Mount View Community Members and Families,
It is with a heavy heart that I let you know I am leaving
Mount View Elementary School at the end of the year. I will be the new principal at Big Picture
Schools here in the Highline School District.
Though I am excited about this new adventure, it is bittersweet to say
goodbye to Mount View. I cannot express
how wonderful it has been to lead such a special school and how much joy your
students have provided for me daily.
The search for a new principal has begun. There will be a survey for families to fill
out to give input into the qualities most important to you in a new
principal. The survey is available on our web page. In addition to the
survey, families will be invited to give input at our monthly Community
Breakfast on April 20 at 9:15 a.m.
Please try to attend if possible.
I want you to know that I will be focused on Mount View
until the end of the year. We are busy
planning for next year and making sure we reach our goals set for this
year. I will be sharing our Annual
Action Plan for next year at the May Community Breakfast. This is a good opportunity to give input into
our academic and social – emotional learning goals for the school. After the meeting, I will post goals and
strategies to reach those goals on our website.
As always, I am available to speak with you regarding your
ideas, concerns and suggestions for making Mount View Elementary School even
