High School Graduation

  • At least 19 out of 20 students entering Grade 9 in 2013 will graduate prepared to choose their future.

Graduating at Least 19 out of 20 Our strategic plan names ambitious academic goals, including a goal for at least 19 out of 20 students to graduate prepared to choose their future. Why aim so high? Because our students are worth it. And, we believe they can do it.

High school graduation is not the end, it’s just the beginning. It’s our job to make sure students are prepared for the pathways they choose, whether if it’s university, community college, or technical training.

We want our students to have many opportunities. Research shows students with a high school diploma have more career and education opportunities. Earning a high school diploma is a ticket to our student’s dreams.

Our Promise is that every student in Highline is known by name, strength, and need, and graduates prepared for college, career, and citizenship. By delivering on Our Promise, with the support of the community, we will reach our graduation goal.

It’s a fact: a student with a high school diploma has more career and education opportunities. Our students know earning a diploma is the critical first step to achieving their dreams.
