Core Planning Teams
Core planning teams—composed of 40-60 individuals representative of the diverse constituencies and voices of Evergreen and Tyee—met January though June 2016 to reflect on the past ten years of operating the small school model.The teams reviewed what small schools are doing well, so these practices can be shared across the system, and identified changes necessary to ensure that we have equitable opportunities across all our high schools.The core planning teams developed recommendations to ensure an equitable and rigorous high school experience for all students.The charge of the core planning teams was to articulate what it will take to ensure success for every student in high school and beyond. Specifically, to:
- Expand opportunities for rigorous coursework in all schools;
Core Planning Team Meetings
- Ensure students meet the new Washington State career- and college-readiness graduation requirements (Core 24)
