As required by law, the board members are members of the Washington State School Directors' Association. Since the association establishes the rate of membership dues at its annual meeting, provides services in response to members' needs and develops and implements a legislative program at the direction of its members, board members are encouraged to participate in the governance of the association. Association membership dues for board members will be at district expense.
