The Highline School District will maintain student records in a manner that will assure the protection of the rights and privacy of students and parents/guardian. All school district records,  data, or information related to individual students shall be treated as confidential. Such information demands judicious use and should always be used so as to contribute to the welfare of the  individuals under consideration. Access to student records shall be granted by the custodian of the records only in accordance with the procedures established herein.
