Policy 4110 - HIGHLINE BRAND POLICY

The Highline brand is communicated through our logo, name, tagline, voice and tone. Our brand’s visual identity–the logo, typefaces and colors that complement it–creates one of the first impressions the public at large, our community, staff, students and families see of Highline Public Schools. A well-utilized brand that reflects the values and beliefs of our school community contributes to a sense of connection and belonging. A strong brand conveys authenticity, which promotes trust. The Highline brand helps promote and communicate the goals and vision of the district and facilitates support of the strategic plan.

School Logos

Each Highline school has a logo. High schools are also permitted a secondary athletics logo. Logos should reflect each school’s current identity, history and community.

Logos must not use imagery referencing a specific gender or ethnicity and must be compliant with current accessibility standards. Trademarked image(s), free online logo services and stock images and logo designs are prohibited.

The Communications Office will coordinate the creation and updating of school logos and mascots for districtwide synergy and quality control. Logo processes will engage staff, families, students and the community.

Brand Responsibilities

Ensuring adherence to brand guidelines is crucial for maintaining a consistent and effective brand identity. It is the responsibility of all employees to uphold and promote the Highline brand by adhering to brand guidelines when producing publications, presentations and other collateral representing Highline.

The Communications Office is responsible for updating, maintaining, monitoring and upholding the Highline brand.
