The principals' organization officially recognized by the Board of Directors, in accordance with RCW 41.59, shall have the use of dues deduction, in-district mail and the right to make announcements about principals' organization meetings and events.
Should a member of the principals' organization wish to have his/her membership dues paid through payroll deduction, the organization will submit an individual payroll deduction authorization form signed by the member desiring dues payment by deduction. Such authorization shall permit deductions for the local, state, and national organization with which the individual is affiliated. The authorization will continue in effect unless it is formally revoked, in writing, prior to July 20 of the year the employee requests to discontinue membership.
The provisions of this policy are not to be construed to be inconsistent with any agreement by the district with the principals' organization to secure professional memberships for its members up to a certain dollar amount.
The principals' organization officially recognized by the Board of Directors in accordance with RCW 41.59 will not be entitled to the rights of dues checkoff provided by this policy until it has indemnified the district against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that may arise out of or by reason of action taken or not taken by the district for the purpose of complying with the provisions of this policy.
