The board authorizes the superintendent to make provisions to recognize publicly and commend the staff for special honors or offices earned in connection with or related to their work

In addition, after each five (5) years of service with the district, each employee will receive a decorative pin identifying Highline School District and bearing the appropriate number of years of service (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, or 35). Upon retirement from the district, after at least five (5) years of service, each employee will receive a decorative pin identifying the Highline School District and bearing the word “retired.”
