On an annual basis, a team meets to review equivalency credit for the Career and Technical Education courses, as defined in Policy 2413. The list of courses below reflect current equivalencies and each individual course is reviewed at least every 4 years, and more frequently if course standards change. Changes are communicated to schools prior to master schedule design begins in the fall.
The courses below generate 1 credit for year-long classes, and 0.5 credit for semester classes. However, these courses satisfy the content-area graduation requirement, as well as the CTE graduation requirement. This credit is commonly referred to as “two-for-one” credit. Academic areas with specific details required are noted in the list below.
By the 2022-2023 school year, only academic course numbers will be used, and the CTE course numbers will no longer be used.
