In this video message, Superintendent Susan Enfield shares her gratitude for all of you and wishes everyone a restful, joy-filled Thanksgiving holiday.
[MUSIC PLAYING] Hello, Highline. Over the past 20 months, one of the things that's gotten me through, especially on the hard days, is practicing gratitude. And as we enter the season of gratitude, I wanted to take a few moments to share what I'm most thankful for. First of all, I have to thank our Highline community, who voted in support of our most recent levy. Thanks to that continued investment, we will be able to build upon what's working and improve the things that we know we still need to work on. So thank you to our Highline community.
Next, I have to thank our amazing Highline staff. I know that this fall has had more challenges than we had anticipated, but you have risen to each and every one of them. I am grateful for your strength and your dedication, and you have more than earned this upcoming holiday. And to our families and students, I know the challenges have been there for you as well, and I'm grateful for your patience and your perseverance. And please know that we want to continue to partner with you in facing the challenges that will continue to come in the days and months ahead. But we are grateful for you being in this work with us.
I wish I could say that there wouldn't be challenges on the horizon, but it's likely that there will continue to be challenges to come in the months ahead. That said, I am confident that this school year, we are going to get back to a pace and a way of living and schooling that is far more familiar and comfortable for all of us. And so on that hopeful note, I say thank you. I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Please rest, eat, laugh, and enjoy, and thank you, as always, for being part of Team Highline. I'm so, so grateful for you all.
