Winter brings colder weather—and with it, colds, flu and other seasonal illnesses. Staying healthy helps students stay engaged in school, and every day of learning builds confidence, connection and progress. Here are five health tips for families, including knowing when to stay home. Check our “Too Sick for School?” guidelines if you’re not sure.

That includes how we support students' health and wellbeing during the school day.  This year, the Health Services Department is taking an intentional, data-informed approach to how school nurse offices operate

There will be no school on Monday, January 19 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  

📅 School Board Meeting Schedule  

You are welcome to join the Highline School Board and superintendent at a school board meeting. All school board meetings are held at the Central Office, 15675 Ambaum Boulevard SW in Burien, typically every other Wednesday, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 21. All regular board business meetings, work sessions and public hearings are public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
