FREE Summer Meals for All Kids!
We are offering free summer meals to every Highline student and all kids and teens 18 years and younger. Kids do not need to be Highline students to participate. Registration is not required. There are no forms to fill out and no names are written down. Just stop by any location for a free meal. The meals are ready-to-eat and must be consumed on-site. Meals are available on weekdays from June 22 to July 28. Check out the summer meal schedule and locations.
Give Feedback on Proposed Director District Boundaries
Based on the feedback gathered so far, the proposed director district map was introduced to the school board at the June 1 school board meeting. The board anticipates voting on the new boundaries at their meeting on June 22. Submit your written feedback on the proposed map through the online form by June 13.
HHS Opening Year Celebration & Ribbon Cutting is June 15
REMINDER to RSVP: We postponed the ribbon cutting ceremony and reception last fall when the new Highline High School opened, due to Covid concerns. As promised, we rescheduled. You are invited on Wednesday, June 15, at 5:30 p.m. for a ribbon cutting ceremony in the gym. There will be refreshments and tours of this beautiful new building designed by Bassetti Architects. Please RSVP to let us know if you will be attending.
No Summer COVID Testing
Our last district COVID test site for the 2021-22 school year will be held on Wednesday, June 15 at Highline High School and Woodside Site from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. We will not offer regularly scheduled test sites throughout the summer. During the last week of school, we will distribute rapid take-home tests. These are intended to be used by Highline families and staff to stay safe and healthy this summer. Please reach out to COVIDResponse@highlineschools.org or 206-631-7677 if you need access to a test kit or to help locate a community test site.
