The last day of school for K-12 will be Wednesday, June 17. Schools will start at the regular time and release three hours early. The last day of preschool is Tuesday, June 16.
📝 End-of-Year Report Cards Coming Soon to ParentVUE
End-of-year report cards will be available soon in ParentVUE. Elementary report cards will be available June 17, and secondary report cards will be available June 25. Families can find report cards under the Report Card tab in ParentVUE.
➡️ Student Files Moving to OneDrive This Summer
This summer, Highline will begin moving student files from Google Drive to Microsoft OneDrive. This is part of Highline's move to Microsoft tools for students in the fall. Most families do not need to take action right now.
🌟 Athletics Registration is Open!
Students must be registered and cleared before the first day of practice to join a team. Many sports hold tryouts right away — so don’t wait. Registration is through FinalForms, our online system for athletic paperwork, including physicals. Learn about middle school and high school sports seasons and how to register.
🤳 Students Help Shape Highline’s Future Mobile Device Policy
Highline students are helping shape Highline’s future mobile device policy. Members of the Superintendent’s Student Leadership Team shared recommendations with the School Board, emphasizing that phones can distract from learning but can also support translation, accessibility, family communication and schoolwork. Their feedback will help guide Highline’s next steps as the district reviews state requirements and works with students, families and staff to develop clear, fair expectations.
🍅 Summer Meals Available June 29–July 30
Free summer meals will be available for all children and teens ages 18 and younger from June 29 through July 30. Youth do not need to be enrolled in Highline Public Schools to participate, and no registration is required. Meal dates and times vary by site. The plan maintains stability while reducing costs by about $8 million, including previously shared central office cuts and 31.5 eliminated positions. 📅 School Board Meeting Schedule
You are welcome to join the Highline School Board and superintendent at a school board meeting. All school board meetings are held at the Central Office, 15675 Ambaum Boulevard SW in Burien, typically every other Wednesday, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on THURSDAY, June 18. All regular board business meetings, work sessions and public hearings are public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
