Budget Update: What the State Budget Means for Highline
The state Legislature’s finalized 2026 supplemental budget includes some relief for public schools, including an exemption from the new sales tax on services, but it still falls short of covering the real cost of running schools. From Early Reading to Class Discussion: Literacy and Language Work
We support students as they build strong reading, writing and language skills. Elementary teams strengthen foundational literacy. Multilingual learners receive targeted language development. Secondary students deepen reading, discussion and analytical skills. Read how we help every student grow as a reader, writer and communicator.
Elementary Report Cards Are Available
Elementary report cards for trimester two are now accessible online through ParentVUE for most schools.

Upcoming Secondary Student Password Change
As part of our ongoing commitment to student digital safety, all middle and high school students will be required to change their passwords during the week of March 23–27. Each school will have a designated reset date and will communicate directly with families about the assigned day. Students will be prompted to reset their password the evening before their school’s scheduled reset day. Families can support their student in completing the password change at home that evening, if possible.
