📜 New Board Directors Take Oath of Office

Highline’s two newest school board directors, Dr. Damarys Espinoza and Blaine Holien, were sworn in on March 24 during a special ceremony on March 24 attended by family, friends and community members. Each took the oath alongside their family, committing to serve Highline’s students, staff and families.

📚 Sexual Health Education Info Night

In Highline, we teach comprehensive sexual health education in alignment with state law and district policy. FLASH (Family Life and Sexual Health) is our curriculum that meets state requirements for sexual health education, which is taught in grades 4-12. Families may opt out of any or all sexual health lessons. Learn more at our Sexual Health Education Night for Families on March 31, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at our central office (15675 Ambaum Blvd SW, Burien).

✅Attendance Matters — Let’s Finish the Year Strong!

Regular attendance helps your child stay connected, build strong learning habits and succeed. Missing just two days per month each year adds up to nearly a month of lost learning! Check your child’s attendance and celebrate their progress. Schools can connect families with helpful resources. Let’s finish the school year strong — every day, on time!

💡Your Input Needed: Strengthening Our Priorities in Highline

This fall marks the final year of our strategic plan, and we want your input. This year, we introduced four priority areas to guide our work and investments in alignment with our strategic plan. As we develop next year’s budget and plan for the next version of our strategic plan, we want your input on how we can build on this work and allocate resources for maximum impact.

📢 New Safety Plan Launches in April

Starting April 14, we’re implementing a new emergency response plan, the Standard Response Protocol (SRP). With five easy-to-understand actions — Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter — the SRP helps students, staff and families know the right steps to take in any situation.

❤️ Free Vaccine Clinic
