🧑🏫 Celebrating CTE Month at Highline
February was Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, a time to highlight the many hands-on learning opportunities available to help students explore their interests, build real-world skills and prepare for college, careers and life after graduation. To celebrate, we featured several CTE programs on social media throughout the month. Check out these highlights and learn more about the wide variety of CTE opportunities available to Highline students.
🍏 Kindergarten Enrollment Now Open for 2026–27
Do you have a child who will be five years old by August 31? It’s time to enroll for kindergarten! Enrolling early helps schools connect families with welcome events, readiness supports and programs like Jump Start to ease first-day nerves so students start school feeling confident and ready to learn. Visit our Kindergarten webpage to get started.
✅Attendance Matters — Let’s Finish the Year Strong!
Families, you work hard to support your students, and we appreciate all you do to get them to school each day! Regular attendance helps your child stay connected, build strong learning habits and succeed.
Did you know? Missing just two days a month adds up to 10% of the school year — that’s nearly a month of lost learning! Even excused absences can make it harder for students to keep up. Check your student’s attendance in ParentVUE and celebrate their progress. Need support? Schools can connect families with helpful resources.
Thank you for being our partner in learning. Let’s finish the school year strong — every day, on time!
