Next week’s schedule includes student conferences and Thanksgiving Break. The last day of school has also been updated to make up for this week’s closure.
Closures for Conferences
Student conference schedules will vary by school.
- Grades PK-5: No school for student conferences, November 25-27.
- Grades 6-12: No school for student conferences, November 27.
Thanksgiving Break
- All Grades: No school for Thanksgiving Break: November 28-29.
Updated Last Day of School
To make up for emergency closures and the recent weather impacts:
- The day after Memorial Day will be a school day.
- The last day for preschool will be June 23.
- The last day for K-12 will be June 24.
๐ปElementary Report Cards Go Digital
Starting this school year, elementary report cards will be digital, and available on ParentVUE starting Monday, December 2. These reports will focus on term-specific standards and include detailed grades for Music and PE. Families can request printed copies if needed. Conferences allow students to reflect on progress, celebrate achievements, and take ownership of their learning. Want to get the most out of your student conference? Here are seven questions you can ask during your conference. Pick a few and use them to build a stronger partnership with your student’s teacher and school.
๐ You’re Invited to CollegeCON!
On Saturday, December 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Highline College, CollegeCON is your chance to explore life after high school. Students in grades 7-12 and their families are invited to attend workshops, connect with Washington colleges and career programs, and get one-on-one help with financial aid applications. Free transportation, breakfast, lunch, and childcare will be provided.

๐ณ Cashless Athletic Tickets
Our high school athletic events are now cashless. Entry tickets can be purchased at the door with card, tap with phone or by scanning the QR code. You can also purchase tickets ahead of time on GoFan and search for the school.
๐ School Board Meeting Schedule
You are welcome to join the Highline School Board and superintendent at a school board meeting. All school board meetings are held at the Central Office, 15675 Ambaum Boulevard SW in Burien, typically every other Wednesday, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 4. All regular board business meetings, work sessions and public hearings are public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
