🔒 Student Passwords

Starting the week of October 21, our technology team will begin resetting student passwords, with a focus on high school. On Tuesday and Wednesday, students are asked to bring their fully charged device to school. Digital citizenship instruction will also be included, covering device care, information security, and personal responsibility.

🙋 Join the Family Action Committee

We are looking for Highline family members to join the Superintendent's Family Action Committee (FAC) for the 2024-2026 school years. The FAC strengthens the connection between families and Highline Public Schools by providing feedback on policies, informing family engagement, and keeping Highline accountable for its strategic plan goals. To nominate yourself or another person, submit a nomination form by November 8.

📮 Remember to Vote by November 5

King County Elections mailed ballots and voters’ pamphlets to registered voters this week. Ballot drop boxes are now OPEN! Whether you have voted for years or are a first-time voter, it’s time to make a plan for how and when you will vote: by mail, at a vote center, or using one of 84 convenient ballot drop boxes in King County. It helps to decide what day you will vote and add it to your calendar. Just make sure to vote by November 5, before 8:00 p.m. See the map of ballot drop boxes and learn more about voting.

🎓 Join Us at Future Ready Fest!

High school families, take the next step towards your future at Future Ready Fest on Thursday, November 7 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Puget Sound Skills Center. Explore colleges, apprenticeships, and career options, get help with financial aid, and attend workshops designed to guide you through your next steps. Plus, enjoy family-friendly activities, refreshments and prizes!

⛺  Waskowitz Leaders Wanted for Fall

Do you have a high schooler who has participated in the Waskowitz Leadership Program? We’re looking for experienced leaders to join our ParentSquare group and sign up for a week of outdoor school this fall! We’re in need of male leaders for our upcoming programs, and this is a great chance for your student to build their leadership skills while enjoying the outdoors.

📅 School Board Meeting Schedule

You are welcome to join the Highline School Board and superintendent at a school board meeting. All school board meetings are held at the Central Office, 15675 Ambaum Boulevard SW in Burien, every other Wednesday, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on November 6. All regular board business meetings, work sessions and public hearings are public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
