We invite Highline family members to join the Family Action Committee (FAC) for the 2024-2026 school years. The FAC strengthens the connection between families and Highline Public Schools by providing feedback on policies, informing family engagement, and keeping Highline accountable for its strategic plan goals. Apply by November 8, with meetings starting November 18.
π Take the Next Step at Future Ready Fest!
Join us on Thursday, November 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Puget Sound Skills Center for this free, drop-in event. Explore colleges, apprenticeships and career paths. Get help with financial aid and applications. Connect with over 60 colleges, career programs and community partners. Refreshments, family-friendly activities and prizes will be available. π Don’t Forget to Register and Vote!
- The deadline to register online or by mail is October 28 to vote in the General Election. Register today or find out where to register in person up until voting closes November 5.
- If you are already a registered voter, did you receive your ballot in the mail by now? If not, call King County Elections at 206-296-8683.
- In addition to visiting a vote center if you need help, your local library offers voter registration forms in multiple languages, computers for updating voter information, and printers for replacement ballots.
π School Board Meeting Schedule
You are welcome to join the Highline School Board and superintendent at a school board meeting. All school board meetings are held at the Central Office, 15675 Ambaum Boulevard SW in Burien, typically every other Wednesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 6. All regular board business meetings, work sessions and public hearings are public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
