Highline is making a districtwide technology transition from Google to Microsoft.
Since fall 2024 staff have been intentionally learning and using Microsoft tools, and preparing for a full shift, including classroom use in 2026-27.
We are sharing this now, so families know what this work is and what to expect.
Families do not need to do anything right now. Families will still use ParentVUE to review their student’s progress, gradebook and report cards. Families will still use ParentSquare to communicate with their student’s teacher and receive school messages.
Some students may hear about Microsoft tools this year or try them in limited ways with teachers. Starting next school year, students will begin using Microsoft tools more regularly in class.
We will share more information with families if there is anything new you need to know.
