New School Designs & Voices: Evergreen Hopes for 1 Building

Evergreen High School:
New Design Renderings, Quotes & Existing Site Conditions

"My hopes are for our new building to be reflective of the beauty, inspiration, tenacity and creativity that we have in our students, families, cultures and community."

"Education is one of the pillars of our society and is central to the liberation of many to pursue the future they choose. As a society, it is our responsibility to continue to empower and elevate the future of our country and provide our students with an environment that engages the collective vision."

— Simón Iñiguez, Principal, Evergreen High School

Principal Iñiguez holds the new design renderings provided by Bassetti Architects of what a new high school would look like. The design work for Evergreen, Tyee High School and Pacific Middle School was funded by the bond voters approved in 2016.

Student Voices

Here are quotes from current Evergreen High School students.

  • "EHS needs a new campus because it is outdated and does not work. Students want a modern school that makes them feel comfortable."  — Ethan, 12th grade
  • "A new school would provide a safer environment." — Rye, 11th grade
  • "A new school would give more kids in our community the chance at a good education, leading to an even better community." — Alejandro, 11th grade
  • "Our students deserve better." — Elizabeth, 9th grade

Construction Depends on November 8 Bond Approval
