Many Highline Public Schools families will receive summer Pandemic-EBT benefits, thanks to a federal funding option for which our school district is eligible. All students enrolled in in-person classes will receive a one-time P-EBT benefit of $120.00.
P-EBT benefits can be used like a debit card to buy food in most grocery stores and farmers markets, or to buy food online at Amazon, Walmart and Safeway/Albertsons. Learn more at DOH SNAP Market Match.
Eligible families get their benefits on a P-EBT card in the mail automatically, or their benefits are automatically added to their existing card. There is not currently a timeline for when benefits will be issued, it might be late summer or early fall.
You can sign up for text message alerts about the status of your child’s P-EBT at textpebt.dshs.wa.gov. You can update your address or replace a lost or stolen card by calling the P-EBT Contact Center at 1-833-518-0282.
Questions about P-EBT cards? Wondering if you're eligible or if your card will have new benefits added? Get that information at www.dshs.wa.gov/pebt or call the P-EBT Contact Center at 1-833-518-0282. (Please note: the school district does not send P-EBT cards; the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services sends the cards).
