School Board Election Results Not Final

The ballots are in, but the votes are not all counted in the race for three open seats on the Highline School Board.

Incumbent Director Azeb Hagos ran unopposed, so she will retain her position. She represents Director District 5 in the City of Des Moines.

Contested seats in District 1 (White Center) and District 4 (Normandy Park, Des Moines North Hill and parts of SeaTac) are not yet decided. As of 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, less than 19 percent of the ballots were counted.

King County Elections is scheduled to post updates by 4:00 p.m. on weekdays.
