The first day of school for grades 1-12 is finally here! Tomorrow, September 4, marks the start of an exciting new school year, and we can’t wait to welcome your children back to the classroom.
As a reminder, Friday, September 6, is a regular, full school day for all students. Half-day Fridays will begin Friday, September 13.
To help make sure you’re ready, don’t forget to check out our Back-to-School Checklist for all the essentials you need before the big day. We’ve also gathered some great tips from fellow families in our ThoughtExchange, where families shared their best advice for a smooth start to the school year.
Let’s make the first day of school even more memorable! Share your student’s first-day-of-school photos with us by using the hashtag #BackToHighline on social media. We’d love to see those smiling faces and celebrate this special milestone with you!
Check your bus stop and pick-up/drop-off times tonight with our easy online tool, as minor route changes may have occurred.
Please watch for pedestrians and be extra patient with buses and other drivers on the first days of school. School buses may run behind schedule at first as students and families learn their new routines.
Here’s to a year filled with learning, growth, and wonderful memories!
See you tomorrow!
