If inclement weather prevents us from safely transporting students to school, we will close schools as we have in the past. We will not switch to remote learning on snow days.
This plan ensures that all students have equitable access to instruction. Since most students are back to school in person, we can no longer be sure that all families still have reliable internet access. We do not want any of our students to miss a day of instruction!
Students in elementary remote classes and Highline Virtual Academy will have non-school days on snow days so they stay on the same school calendar as in-person students.
Snow days will be made up at the end of the school year in June.
