In spring 2022, Washington public school students in grades 3-8 and 10 took the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) or the Washington Access to Instruction & Measurement (WA-AIM ) English language arts and math tests. Students in grades 5, 8 and 11 took the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) or WA-AIM science.
These assessments are just one measure of student learning, the state assessment results can help all of us work together to pursue additional support or accelerated opportunities that may benefit student learning. If you would like more information about state assessments please visit our Smarter Balanced Assessment page.
In previous school years, the Individual Student Reports (ISR) for SBA and WCAS were mailed to families in the fall. Starting in 2022-23, these ISRs will now be available to view electronically in ParentVUE starting Friday, October 21. This will allow families to access multiple years of SBA and WCAS results moving forward.
