Students Share Tradition through Food, Games and Dragon Dance

Students, families and staff across Highline recently celebrated Lunar New Year with food, games and community connection.

At Cascade Middle School, the school community came together to celebrate Tết. Families and staff shared traditional foods, played festive games and welcomed the new year together.

We’re also proud of Raisbeck Aviation High School students for bringing a dragon dance performance to the February 11 School Board meeting. Their performance honored culture and tradition and helped the whole room celebrate together.

These celebrations support our Bilingual and Biliterate goal by giving students exposure to cultures and traditions beyond their own and helping them build multicultural skills to live, work and communicate across cultures.

Thank you to the staff and volunteers who make these moments possible in our schools.
