The Promise Podcast: Our People. Our Stories.
A photo of Mount Rainier on a calendar sparked an idea. Gil Parsons and his wife packed up their young family and moved from Philadelphia to Washington without ever visiting.
In the Season 2 premiere of The Promise Podcast, Gil Parsons joins Superintendent Dr. Ivan Duran to share how that cross-country move led him to Highline. He began as a math teacher at Chinook Middle School and now supports school leaders as an instructional leadership executive director.
Mr. Parsons talks about the students who shaped him as an educator, the importance of belonging and a full-circle moment with former students who now have children in Highline schools.
