Too Many Posts? Set Email, Text and App Notifications to Daily Digest

ParentSquare is Highline's tool for school-to-home communication (email, text, robo calls and app alerts). If you’re getting too many notifications, you can change your preferences to Digest to get fewer updates.

On the digest setting, you will receive one email, and/or one text, and/or one app notification providing access to all ParentSquare information at the end of the day.

Note: If you receive notifications by email, you'll receive a daily digest email from your district and schools separately if there are posts that day.

Set Your Notification Method in a Web Browser

  1. Go to www.parentsquare.com and log in.
  2. Click your name in the upper right and select Manage Account.
  3. Click Notification Settings.
  4. Select Off, Instant or Digest for each type of notification (Email, Text, App), and for each school or district if there is more than one.
  5. Click the X in the upper right to return to Home.

You know, I'm a busy dad too. That's why my parents square notifications are set to digest this way. I typically only get one notification per day, right around 6:00 PM, which is a more convenient time for me. If this sounds good to you, get out your phone. Fire up the Parents Square app, and follow me. Let's start by hitting the three bars in the top left. Then make sure account is selected in the left sidebar. After that, choose notifications just to the right. Here's where we choose how and when we're notified. Sounds like you'll want to turn your notifications from instant to digest. We understand that busy parents need a break from notifications. Sometimes with your set to digest, you'll get one notification representing an entire day's worth of posts. Now, authors can override your digest setting, but this should be done very sparingly.
