Crews are putting the finishing touches on the new modular Transportation Building.
Look inside to see the fresh, new space for our bus drivers, dispatchers and other Transportation staff. We anticipate that the occupancy permit will be approved this week or next, followed by staff setting a date to move into the new facility.
Refer a Bus Driver
We are recruiting bus drivers. Do you have a referral for us? We provide training, competitive wages and opportunities for additional hours — plus a modern space with natural light, individual restrooms and a kitchen. Drivers are welcome to eat lunch here and check emails between morning and afternoon trips.
Project Information
Fourteen modular units were lifted into place this summer to form the new Transportation Building. Once staff move into the new building, the old Building L will be removed.
Replacing Building L was specified as part of the 2022 bond package, recommended by Highline's community-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC).

The 1.5-story slanted roof on the east half of the building allows for a lot of natural light and for a feeling of openness in the large meeting and lunchroom that will be able to host Transportation staff meetings and provide a modern, inviting space for bus drivers taking a break or checking in between driving routes.
