Updated MTSS Page Highlights Highline’s Commitment to Student Support
We recently updated our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) webpage to make it easier for families and staff to understand how this work supports our Big 4 priority of Student Supports.
MTSS is how we internally organize help and enrichment for every student—academically, socially, and emotionally—so they can thrive.
The page now includes:
- Uses plain, easy-to-read language instead of technical terms.
- Highlights how MTSS builds a sense of belonging by honoring students’ culture, language, and individual needs.
- Explains the three tiers of support as levels of intensity, not labels for students.
- Shares examples of how MTSS supports everything from reading and attendance to social-emotional growth and college and career readiness.
- Outlines how families, staff, and community partners work together to support students.
These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to knowing every student by name, strength, and need—and to creating systems that help each one thrive.
