Dual Language Schools

Students assigned to one of these dual language schools will be automatically enrolled in dual language if it is available at the student’s grade level. 

  • Hazel Valley, Grade K-5, Spanish 
  • Hilltop, Grades K-5, Spanish 
  • Madrona, Grades K-5, Spanish 
  • Midway, Grade K-5, Spanish 
  • Mount View, Grades K-5, Spanish 
  • White Center Heights, Spanish (K-5), Vietnamese (K-5), English with Somali Enrichment (K-3), English only (4-5) 

Enrollment Options

You can opt to enroll your child in the Dual Language program by clicking on the student’s neighborhood school on the elementary enrollment page. You may also request that your child attend the English-only program at the neighborhood partner school. To do so, follow these steps: 

  • Complete the online enrollment process through ParentVUE which will enroll your student in their assigned neighborhood school  
  • Submit a Transfer Request Form.

Entering Dual Language after kindergarten or 1st grade

All students are welcome to be in the Highline Public Schools Dual Language program regardless of language, racial, ethnic, ability, grade level, or age background. All enrolling families will be informed of the Dual Language and Partner School options and will be given the option to schedule a consultation with the school to review the DL program with the family.
