Proposed Bond Projects
Prop. 1 will provide Highline students with equitable access to safe and modern schools. The projects in this bond were recommended by Highline's Capital Facilities Advisory Committee.
Rebuild Evergreen High School
Evergreen High School was built in 1955. The campus consists of 10 buildings with multiple points of entry, making it difficult to secure in an emergency. It is not able to accommodate the same student learning technology that students in new schools have.
Rebuild Tyee HIgh School
Tyee High School was built in 1962. The campus consists of 9 buildings with multiple points of entry, making it difficult to secure in an emergency. It is not able to accommodate the same student learning technology that students in new schools have.
Rebuild Pacific Middle School
Pacific Middle School was built in 1960. The campus consists of 8 buildings with multiple points of entry, making it difficult to secure in an emergency. It is not able to accommodate the same student learning technology that students in new schools have.

- Highline High School - Opened 2021
- Mount Rainier High School - Opened 2007
Highline has a 20-year track record of keeping our promise to deliver new schools on time and on budget while minimizing disruption to student learning. Projects completed with funding from the 2016 bond were finished on time and $10 million under budget.
2022 Bond:
- Evergreen High School - Will open 2025
- Tyee High School - Will open 2025
- The bond will also replace Pacific Middle School and fund critical repairs and improvements across the district at other older schools.
The projects funded by Prop. 1 were selected as part of the long-term facilities plan developed by our volunteer-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee. Their plan calls for future bonds to fund replacement of Cascade, Chinook and Sylvester middle schools and other older schools.
