College Bound Scholarship
The College Bound Scholarship program is an early commitment of state financial aid to eligible students who sign up in middle school and fulfill their pledge. The scholarship includes annual college tuition and a small book allowance. It can be used at Washington State public community or technical colleges, public four-year institutions, and approved independent and private career colleges and universities.
In addition to signing up in either seventh or eighth grade, students are required to:
- Work hard in school and maintain a cumulative high school GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Stay out of trouble with law enforcement
- Successfully apply to a higher education institution upon graduation
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) during their senior year or after they graduate.
