๐ฒYour CNEEB Application Makes a Difference
Help Highline schools receive important state and federal funding! Submitting an eligible form brings dollars to our schools to help cover additional staff, before- and after-school programs, resources, and reduced fees for athletics, ASB cards, technology, college applications and more. Every form means more support for students and benefits for families. Check eligibility and submit your application today.
Plus, you may also qualify for SUN Bucks to help pay for groceries next summer!
Join the Family Action Committee Today
We’re inviting up to 40 family members to serve on the Family Action Committee. This group reflects the diversity of Highline and partners directly with Superintendent Dr. Ivan Duran to share ideas and feedback. Nominate yourself or someone else by October 10 at the Family Action Committee webpage.
Know Your Rights as a Student
Every student in Washington public schools has important rights that protect their access to education, safety, and freedom. In 2025, the legislature created a Statement of Student Rights to make sure students and families know what they’re entitled to. Read the students rights and learn more about responsibilities, policies, and resources.
๐Update Student Contact Information
Your action is required. Each year, families are required to verify student emergency information and submit updated health information. This ensures we have a current home address, phone number, emergency contact and health information on file. All of these items help us keep students safe while at school and are essential for schools to notify you quickly. Here’s how to make your updates.
๐ ICYMI: Keeping Our Promise eNewsletter
Did you see our September 20 construction update? It invites community members to self-guided tours of our two new high schools on October 7 and 9. You'll find links to photos of Pacific Middle School demolition wrapping up, a recording and materials from the September meeting of the Capital Facilities Advisory Committee, plus photos and a recap of the Evergreen and Tyee ribbon cutting ceremonies.
๐ What’s Cooking Next Week for School Meals
Next week, we look forward to smoked salmon chowder with homemade roll on the elementary lunch menu. School meals are available to all students at no cost this school year. Check out school menus online every Friday (that’s today!) for the following week.
