We are looking for Highline family members to join the Superintendent's Family Action Committee (FAC) for the 2025-2027 school years. The FAC strengthens the connection between families and Highline Public Schools by providing feedback on policies, informing family engagement, and keeping Highline accountable for its strategic plan goals.
The committee brings the voices of family members into district decisions. Our goal is to have a representative from each school that reflects the beautiful diversity of our district.
- Who Can Apply?: Parents, guardians and family members of Highline students. We aim for each school to have a representative who reflects our district’s diversity.
- Time Commitment: Up to six hours per month, including meetings.
- Term Length: Minimum two year commitment, with orientation, quarterly meetings, and subcommittee work.
We are seeking up to 40 members, and we want the committee to reflect the diversity of Highline’s families. To nominate yourself or another person, visit the Family Action Committee webpage by October 10.
The first Family Action Committee meeting is on October 27. If you have any questions, please contact Lolita O’Donnell at lolita.odonnell@highlineschools.org or 206.631.3151.
