We are deeply grateful for the continued partnership with Music4Life, a non-profit organization that provides donated and repaired musical instruments at no charge to students who qualify for free and reduced price meals. Music4Life ensures that every student who wants to pursue instrumental music can do so and that family income is not a barrier to music education.
Music4Life is just as important now as it has ever been. Although students are not in school buildings during the pandemic, they are working with their music teachers remotely and have the opportunity to practice and continue build their musical skills. When students are back in school buildings, they will continue with band, orchestra and other music programs.
If, during the stay-home order, you have cleaned out your closets and found a trumpet, clarinet, violin, flute or other musical instrument and want to put it back into play, please consider donating it to Music4Life. The donor form is available at Music4Life.org. Contributions to fund repair of these musical instruments are welcome, too.
Thank you to the Rotary Club of Des Moines and Normandy Park and others who have and continue to support Highline Music4Life.
