Demolition Begins at Pacific
Work has started to build the new Pacific Middle School, scheduled to open in 2027. Skanska is the general contractor/construction manager for this project.
While demolition and construction are underway, Pacific students and staff are learning at the Olympic Interim Site, 615 South 200th Street in Des Moines.
Below are photos of the work in progress, with crews moving soil at the Pacific site last week and starting demolition by removing the band room building this week.
More information about the design of the new school building is on our school construction website for the Pacific Middle School bond project.
