Alum Spotlights New School & ASB Gets to Know the New Evergreen
A small group of Evergreen alumni, families and supporters had a chance to tour the new school this month. Westside Seattle's Patrick Robinson (EHS ‘69) joined the visit and published an August 13 feature with striking photos and project details:
"The new Evergreen High School is a well-planned investment in the future"
New desks and chairs and the school's Promethean panels are waiting in classrooms to support student learning from AP Chemistry, engineering and poetry to Core Plus Construction, computer science, culinary arts and much more.
Our own photo gallery below highlights ASB students exploring their new school for the first time.
The first day of school is Wednesday, September 3.
A community grand opening with self-guided tours is being planned for October. More details will be shared soon.
Demolition of the original school structures is complete. Crews are finishing clean-up of the debris, as well as completing the loop for dropping students off at the main entrance. The upper parking lot by the new main entrance is scheduled to be completed in October.
In the coming school year, construction will focus on building new softball and baseball fields where the original school stood.
This 2022 bond project continues to be on time and within budget.

Students in the courtyard wave at Evergreen staff members walking across the skybridge linking the two main structures together. A major underground utility right of way beneath the skybridge inspired and required the unique school design.
