  • Band is available to fifth- and sixth-grade students
  • Orchestra is available to fifth- and sixth-grade students at Parkside and Marvista

Middle School:

  • All middle schools:
    • Band
    • Visual arts
  • Some schools:
    • Orchestra
    • Chorus

High School:

  • All comprehensive high schools:
    • Band
    • Visual arts
    • Media arts
  • Some Schools:
    • Choir
    • Orchestra
    • Dance
    • Drama

All students experience opportunities to enhance their arts education whether it is through arts related field trips, guest artists in the classroom, and community arts partnerships with teachers and students that support their learning.

We want all students to experience the arts within our schools. Through arts education, students develop creativity, discipline, perception, perseverance, self-expression and critical thinking. These capacities are fundamental in preparing students for the future they choose.
