In Winter 2024, we piloted curriculums for the new Health program for grades K-2 and 6-12. We plan to adopt these curriculums as our official Health curriculum. Both programs support the Washington State Health Learning Standards and Core Ideas. Both programs are online resources for students available in English and Spanish.
The health curriculum will cover all Washington state learning standards and will cover the following topics:
- Wellness
- Safety
- Nutrition
- Social-emotional Health
- Substance use and abuse
Sexual Health is not covered in the curriculum adoption. Highline Public Schools uses King County FLASH curriculum for grades 4-12.
